Accommodation was very good and the bed was comfortable. The building was situated very close to the centre of the City but was nevertheless quiet.

THe standard of the food provided for breakfast was extremely poor. The quality of the coffee was abyssmal. The so-called croissants were totally unacceptable in this day and age. Sainsbury's or Tesco's would have provided better. This was not the fault of the staff but of the suppliers used and would be very easy to recitfy. Just a little care and a degree of good taste would make all the difference.

      Friendly Staff.

Having to walk to sister hotel for check in/out.

Good rooms, fantastic beds, centrally located on a quiet street

The room was very comfortable and very well appointed. The bathroom was clean and tidy and the shower worked well.

It was not made clear when making the booking that it is necessary to collect the key from a different building, for someone new to the city it would be difficult to find.We met another lady who was attending the same celebration as us who spent nearly an hour trying to get in the hotel. (I would not convey this message if we had not had similar problems). We were unsure as to whether we had paid twice for the booking. We paid online when making the booking and were subsequently asked to pay again. It now means that we have to check our bank account(s) to ensure what was correct. We would recommend the main hotel only as the staff were very helpful to us. There was also no ealry breakfast (we had to be where we were going by 7.45)

Clean room, nice staff, good size, absolute value for money and excellent location, just minute from High Street, 3 minutes from the Cathedral, next to two main museums.

The location of the hotel is very convinient as it is located at the city center. It was clean and all facilities were there in the room. Service personel were very friendly and helpful.

There is no reception area at the hotel and I had to collect the keys from another hotel and walk 10 minutes to find the place. The room although clean and tidy was too small for a 4 star hotel.

The room was clean and comfortable

The water pressure in the shower was very low. As the room was so good otherwise this spoilt the overall enjoyment. Also, the breakfast was very poor, so I didn'rt have any. I think the hotel should give people the choice of using its breakfast instead

Very accomodating staff, bed was incredibly comfortable! I had been having trouble sleeping the week I visited but had no trouble during my stay!

Breakfast room rather cramped, I had to duck down my entire time so that I didn't hit my head! (I'm 6'1)

I feel potential guests should be informed that it is not a guest house but a collection of bedroooms. There is no receprtion. You cannot check in but have to ring their main hotel and then walk there to collect your key. I also feel the information should be updated about check in. It says 11am on the booking confirmation. I was both hassled and told off by the cleaner at 10 30am for not being out of my roomm

Security is a problem. Peregrine Hotel is unstaffed. Visitors have to check in and collect keys from Castle House Hotel which is about 5-10 minutes walk from Peregrine Hotel. To access the Hotel, guests are given one key to open both the hotel entrance door and the room door. Here is the problem, that means, that key can open every room of the hotel. Even worser, there is no security chain in the room, that means, if there is anybody having any key of the hotel can open my door and I have no other means to stop him/her from entering. So, I used the luggage rack to block the door before I went to bed, Unfortunate event did happen. My door was opened by another guest, a gentleman, at around 6am in the morning while I was still in bed. Luckily, I had the luggage rack blocking the door so the banging sound woke me up and I was able to stop the guest from entering my room. Explanation from the hotel was that the system recorded me checking in another room and housekeeper left the spare key of my room at the office so he thought the room was not taken and checked in another guest. Whatever explanation, I WILL NOT stay in this hotel again. Security in this hotel is really a problem.

Convenient to the city centre and cathedral. Friendly and helpful staff.

No car parking at Peregrine House itself and at first it seemed we would have to pay at a public carpark and keep running back to keep paying. It would be good for the Castle Hotel/Peregrine House to have an arrangement with the local council for guest parking.

Quiet. Unobtrusive staff but everything was clean, room made up promptly.

Reception and check in/out was at another hotel a five minute walk away.

Peregrine House - Canterbury was clean, comfortable and convenient to the areas of the city that we wanted to visit. It was reasonably priced and the room was lovely. Continental breakfast was fresh and good. We were on holiday and had only a couple of days to spend in Canterbury, but the Peregrine House made our visit so very pleasant. My husband and I were both delighted with our stay there. We recommend the b&b to other travelers and will stay there again on our next visit to Canterbury.

The location was perfect - just a few minutes walk from the Cathedral and the bustling city centre and yet quiet and peaceful. Our room was comfortable and a good place to relax and read or watch television after dinner when we were weary from a full day's sightseeing.

There was no problem for us having to check in and out at The Castle - a few minutes walk away- but, if the weather had been bad, it could have been inconvenient. There is a need for somewhere to put toiletries when showering.
